• An “Eighth” ($1/8$ oz) = 3.5 Grams: This is the most popular purchase size in the cannabis world. An eighth of an ounce is about enough to roll 3 to 4 joints or pack several bowls. If you like to rotate strains, buying eighths is the perfect way to do it.

• Standard dose: In Florida, single-serving edibles are capped at a maximum of 10 mg of THC per serving, with a maximum of 100 mg of THC per package.

Tinctures (liquid drops taken under the tongue) and topicals (creams applied to the skin) are packaged in bottles measured by volume (fluid ounces or milliliters), but their medical value is measured in milligrams.

• How it is measured: You will see a bottle labeled as containing, for example, 30 mL of liquid with 500 mg of active THC inside. Your daily dose will be measured in dropper-fulls (such as 0.5 mL, which would equal about 8.3 mg of THC in a 500 mg bottle).
